Brussels, farewell my love

Once or twice and the other day again I must admit, a wise man gave me this excellent advice: try to never talk about politics or religion. Nothing good ever comes out of that. 
He's right of course.
Yet: " Brussels is not a metropolis, Brussels is typically Belgian. Brussels is a handful of baronnies ." 

​As Transit-Brusselesse, I lived and worked there from 1981-2003, I remember how tough it is to feel 'at home' there. 
Brussels is in the first place a political stage and being an enlighted flemish woman does not work in your favor..
