In her book 'Sofía de los presagios'  the Nicaraguan writer Gioconda Belli shares her very very wise view on believing :

" Divinity stays in the wombs of the women
and in the phallus of men,
because this is where life begins
and where everything else is generated from.
Only the darkness of souls estranged of nature
can invent a male god
with a virgin mother. "
