Bloomberg just found out what I suspected a long time: Spain is the best place to be
Let me show some highly personal proof to confirm this:
I already knew more or less that "the only handicap is a bad attitude" but yet and to my great joy I recently learned that imposed restrictions can be a source of great satisfaction.
This is wat happened:
some weeks ago I had a motorcycle accident, broke my right wrist and was sentenced to six weeks of plaster.
Since that that fateful day I write my shopping lists mirrored (like Leonardo used to do!), I found out how to peel oranges with one hand and finally managed to cut down my charcoal drawings to the essence.
Eureka, eureka, eureka!
Now to be seen at the Salón de Otoño 2018 in Alicante:
#MeTarget - 2018 - Oil on canvas - 60x120cm
Here in the proud company of her creator Griet Wens and (background) the pin kings of the Alicante Artist Association César Sanchez Pérez and Fernando Mateo García.
And of course this tableau has a message:
" Femininity is good, femininity is beautiful, femininity is adorable ! "
Homo Sapiens is a sexual species. There is no point in ignoring that fact.
Instead of frenetically trying to make everything and everybody gender neutral we could allow men to be manly (be a gentleman, not a testomonster), woman to be feminine (other than porn star) and, most important, allow children to be nothing yet.
That is why I do not agree at all with Marguerite Dumas when she says that
'You have to be very fond of people to be able to love them. Very very fond. Otherwise they're simply unbearable.' .
Ofcourse people can get on our nerves.
But consider this dear Marguerite: they can't help it!
People are imperfect, limited, stupid, insecure and poorly designed fellow creatures who are desperately trying their best.
With this in mind, it is much easier to like them,
Or to look at them, listen to them and even love them.
